In the home, p erforms direct and in-direct client care duties as outlined on the Home Health Ai! de Care Plan.
In the hospital, performs direct and in-direct client care duties as delegated by the RN.
In both the home and the hospital, documents care provided and reports hours worked in an accurate and timely manner.
Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital .
Minimum Requirements:
Current Maryland Board of Nursing C.N.A. certification required.
Current CPR certification, American Heart Association Healthcare Provider required.
High school diploma or equivalent required. At least 18 years of age. Graduate of a certified nursing assistant program required. Six months of CNA experience in a hospital, nursing home, group home or home care setting is preferred. Customer service experience required. Effective communication skills. Must have reliable transportation. Must have reliable phone communication.
Working Conditions:
Moderate noise level, occasionally loud noise created by alarms, client! s or equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and compreh! end the English language.
Visual and auditory acuity. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Ability to push, pull and lift clients, equipment, etc. (i.e. beds, stretchers, etc.). Ability to bend body downward at the waist and be able to kneel. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English and to document care given.
