Montgomery College, Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus, has need for a full-time Workforce Development and Continuing Education (WD&CE) Program Manager I #S05186 Health Sciences . Normal work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend hours will be required.

Starting salary range is $55,952 to $75,546 per year.

Duties and Responsibilities :
WD & CE Program Manager I, Health Sciences, is responsible for:

Health science program and/curriculum development, coordination, marketing, delivery and evaluation of open enrollment and contract training courses; Course scheduling and pricing; Student and client communication; Faculty recruitment, development, retention and evaluation; Strategic action plans; Communication with appropriate staff on progress of goals and objectives; Reporting on outcomes; Representing the College at appropriate meetings and events.

Position requires travel to sites off campus with books and instructional equipment and interacting with vendors and clients with who contracted, as well as attending state meetings with the community colleges' allied health and nursing affinity group, as well as the Maryland Board of Nursing and/orother entities. The Program Manager I is currently responsible for the following programs, but not limited to the following, CPR, Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medicine Aid, RN Refresher, First Aid and Sterile Processing.

Required Qualifications :
A Bachelors degree in a related field Three years experience managing or supporting adult education programs including planning and coordinating training in a health care provider or educational setting. Knowledge of academic and training environment, understanding of health science employment environment, with knowledge of ancillary professions in addition to nursing is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications :
A Masters degree A current Registered Nurse unencumbered Maryland license Two years of actual teaching experience is preferred, with programming health sciences education. Working with program in a college or school preferred.

Conditions of employment :
