1. Maintains integrity of the general ledger for professional trade association and its related corporate entities ANA, ANF and/or ANCC by reviewing and approving all journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
2. Assists with annual budget and quarterly forecast.
3. Prepares the LM2 return and all supporting schedules for review by the outside consultant / auditor. Responsible for filing the return electronically and answering questions from management.
4. Responsible for issuing monthly departmental variance reports by the required due date to each director and address any questions.
5. Prepares the assigned audit schedules for the annual audit of professional trade association and its related corporate entities ANA, ANF! and/or ANCC, and address any questions from the auditors and ! reviews assigned schedules prepared by OPI staff.
6. Supports the preparation of financial reports and analysis for professional trade association and its related corporate entities ANA, ANF and/or ANCC management and the Committee on Planning and Budget.
7. Oversees all of the 5500 filings and the PBGC filing for professional trade association and its related corporate entities ANA, ANF and/or ANCC. Includes addressing any audit questions regarding the retirement and savings plan audits.
8. Prepares schedules for the 990, Lobbying percentage calculation and the Beck calculation.
Education
Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Finance/Accounting and Certified Public Accountant required.
Relevant Work Experience
A minimum of ten (10) years or related experience. Public accounting experience preferred.
Experience in advance account reconciliation, financial statement preparation, budget reporting, DOL LM2 reporting highly desire! d.

6. Be thoroughly familiar with, and have an appreciation for the role of unions and the collective bargaining process
7. Advanced group facilitation and public speaking
8. Ability to critically think and collaboratively build solutions in a politically sensitive, high visibility work environment.
9. Ability to recognize and address business opportunities and provide exceptional customer service.
10. Interpersonal skills and political sensitivity with ability to interact with and influence executive level individuals, consul! tants, vendors, volunteers and customers to recognize and address sensi! tivities
11. Strong organizational and project management skills.
12. Flexibility in dealing with changing priorities and demanding workload
13. Demonstrated ability to recognize and appreciate cultural differences and meet the needs of individuals and organizations from different cultures.
