Director, Nursing Placement

The Director, Nursing Placement is responsible for the management of all 2U services for clinical placements for graduate nursing students. This position direc! ts the strategy and activities of a student placement team and is responsible for designing and implementing a placement strategy that exceeds goals and partner expectations. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
Manage all aspects of clinical placement for top online Masters of Nursing program.
Develop and coordinate clinical placement strategy and methodology.
Supervise a top-notch team of clinical placement specialists and coordinators who facilitate all aspects of support for the placement function including outreach and communication with supervising clinical staff, partner agencies and faculty.
Create strategy for long term placement relationships as well as fulfill “one off†placement requirements from students.
Develop relationships with hospitals, hospital systems and private practices for clinical placements.
Identify and secure appropriate sites and preceptors for students to learn in clinical se! ttings.
Interact directly with partnering institution! , department leaders and internal cross-functional teams.
Work with counterpart at the University and legal team on contract execution of clinical partnership agreements.
Education and Professional Experience :
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree or other advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 7+ years and experience managing and providing strategic direction to growing operations with focus on a proactive, forward thinking, scalable approach to creating processes.
Previous experience in Healthcare and/or Education preferred.
Experience with nurses in a clinical settings preferred.
General Attributes :

General knowledge of clinical setting and preceptor roles.
Highly self motivated and able to work autonomously.
Strong sense of system orientation and focus on providing “white glove†service to our! students and faculty.
Ability to forecast, track, monitor and quantify needs of Placement team.

Strong customer service background and proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex processes.
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, inclusive of Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
