Description: Upper Chesapeake Health is currently seeking to employ Nurse Practitioner - Radiation Oncology right now, this vacancy will be placed in Maryland. Under general supervision of the Radiation Oncologists and in collaboration with physician colleagues, responsible for diagnosing and treating ! patients subject to the individuals’ written agreement approved by the Maryland Joint Committee on Nurse Practitioners. Provides continuity of patient care by facilitating and coordinating communication between the health care team, patient and patients’ family. Coordinates care to ensure quality, effective care and patient safety. Serves as link to integrating relevant research and best practices.
Education & Training: Master of Science degree with completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. Registered and currently recorded with the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nurses and Certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland. Eligible for Advanced Oncology certification. (Copy of written agreement with physician signed by the physician and nurse practitioner and written approval by the Joint Committee for Nurse Practitioners pursuant to COMAR 10.27.07.06A.) DEA and CDS eligible. BCLS required; ACLS may become a requirement.
Work Orie! ntation & Experience: Requires a minimum of one year of ac! ute care, radiation oncology
experience. Demonstrated ability to promote professionalism through involvement in professional
organizations, teaching, research, publishing, and/or certification in area of specialty.
