Primary Duties:
Coordinating and/or managing a significant programmatic component. Examples may include functioning as the subject matter resource for others in the Division; functioning as a member of a special project team; or, serving as the training coordinator for the Division. This should be accomplished in conjunction with subject matter experts in the respective FOH service area. Demonstrating analytical abilities by synthesizing information to develop appropriate customer-centric solutions through professional presentation formats (e.g. PowerPoint, white papers, etc.) Developing and utilizing strategic bus iness tools such as SWOT analyses, revenue rollup reports, competitor analyses, etc. Developing and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of all FOH products and services and demonstrating this knowledge to peers and customers. Facilitating efforts among other FOH service areas to ensure the customer is fully satisfied with the “FOH experience.†Other duties, as assigned.
By coordinating with team members from the Office of Performance, Analysis, and Quality (OPAQ), the individual in this position directs TJC accreditation activities within CHS to ensure the successful completion of TJC requirements.
TJC Quality and Safety
- Coordinates and provides CHS direction with TJC accreditation efforts to improve the overall quality and safety of services
- Responsible for ensuring a constant state of CHS readiness for TJC survey
- Coordinates implementation of CHS response to risk and safety events to minimize recurrence
- Coordinates CHS com plaint response
- Serves as CHS Point of Contact for the OPAQ team
- Maintains knowledge and understanding of all TJC standards applicable to CHS
- Responsible for conducting CHS Intra-Cycle Review and reporting and investigating sentinel events
Quality/PI program
- Plans, coordinates, and implements performance improvement within CHS to meet Quality/Performance Improvement initiatives and goals established for FOH by OPAQ
- Provides leadership and overall direction to FOH’s quality and performance improvement (PI) program within CHS
- Leads CHS performance improvement efforts by identifying specific processes to be studied by CHS as a result of identified risk and/or opportunities for improvement
Risk Management Program
- Investigates events and collaborate with Medical Director and/or other appropriate leaders to formulate resolution and manage risk
- Reports serious safety events to Risk Manag er and CHS leadership
- Promotes a culture of safety (safe event reporting)
- Conducts and lead Root Cause Analysis when indicated
Complaint Resolution Process
- Establishes and lead efforts of the FOH Complaint Resolution Process within CHS
- Monitors CHS complaints and compliments daily
- Assists service lines in resolution of complaints (when appropriate)
- Documents and Report compliments and complaints to GB
Minimum Requirements/Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of principles and practices of healthcare administration of multi-site health care system
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Federal Occupational Health (FOH) policies and procedures and any changes and updates.
- Comprehensive knowledge of TJC Ambulatory Care Standards
- Demonstrates SME in the provision and systemic management of all occupational health services provided in FOH clinics. Anticipates and addresses p otential problems with service delivery.
- Experience within the last 5 working in an accredited organization
- Microsoft Office software with high proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Project and Visio Plus
- SME of operations of health care clinics, preferrably occupational health clinics
- Excellent writing skills with experience in drafting operational policies and procedures
- Experience with monitoring and evaluating clinical systems including developing indicators, data collection instruments, compiling data, analyzing data, and creating monitoring and evaluation reports
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must demonstrate an ability to successfully engage a diverse group of people.
- Must have good organizational, problem solving and critical thinking skills and the ability to demonstrate organizational and political savvy*

Minimum Education Requirements/Certification/Licensu re/Experience:

- Must possess BSN and have minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical leadership, or an Associate’s Degree with 5 years of clinical leadership experience. Must have current license in one of the 50 states
- Graduate from a National League of Nursing (NLN) accredited school of nursing (Diploma, AND, or BSN)
- A minimum of 2 years experience in occupational health
- Current CPR/AED for Health Care Professionals certification
