Manager Cerner Healthcare IT Applications Baltimore MD Our client is seeking a Manager Cerner Healthcare IT Applications for a contract to hire or direct hire opportunity in Baltimore MD Job Description Candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing Cernerrelated projects including planning coordinating monitoring and implementing complex IT programs to meet organizational goals Will also have opportunity to get certified in Epic Responsibilities Manages the operation monitoring maintenance development upgrade and support of information technology applications Work with stakeholders to define business and system requirements for existing and new implementations Collaborates with analysts technical staff and application owners with all phases of the System Development Life Cycle and Project Management standards Plans executes and finalizes projects according to timeline and budget Establishes productive relationships with customer groups and vendors Responsible for assisting Director with customer satisfaction vendor contracts and associated invoices quality control problem management and resolution within the business and financial product lines and across multiple facilities Determine staffing requirements and supervise the work of all direct reports to ensure effective and efficient departmental functions Serve as resource primary advisor and mentor for all direct reports Hire orient train conduct performance evaluations handle disciplinary issues and provide an open and goal oriented work environment with establish clear and concise work procedures and productivity standards Develops personnel by providing opportunities and training programs to enhance individual employees career development Ensures full staff competency of technologies policies and practices across the division Manages activities of contractors Implements and enforces departmental policies and procedures In coordination with departmental management ensures compliance with regulatory and audit agency requirements Develops performance improvement initiatives aimed at improving customer service operating costs departmental functionsdepartmental productivity Develops and executes effective control process and compliance monitoring procedures to ensure risks are measured monitored controlled and mitigated Represents the department at various meetings task force groups quality councils and with other members of the clients Assesses manages and monitors employee satisfaction results and action plans and assist Senior Management in the execution of improvement action plans Develops establishes and implements departmental goals and objectives for the client in collaboration with IT Leadership Provides Information Services and Technology guidance and assistance to customer base and ensure processpolicies are maintained in accordance with established the clients standards Working conditions would include Weekend shift work holiday oncall and may be require work beyond normal tour of duty to complete projects meet deadlines or respond to emergencies Work is performed in various environments within the Clients environment These environments include but are not limited to the following a standard office environment Data Centerclosets environment or Healthcare environment Periodic traveling out of town with overnight stays to obtain required training education or certification may be required Work may include regular travel to and from the various affiliated institutions Work may be required in a Healthcare facility which the observance of Universal Precautions is mandated Requirements Requires prior experience managing Cerner applications Bachelors Degree in Information Technology Health Science Business or an equivalent level of professional experience required Masters Degree preferred Experience working in a healthcare environment Demonstrated leadership ability effectiveness in supervising evaluating training discipline and motivating management and technical staff successfully is required Ability to understand and adhere to systems security and control procedures in accordance with departmental vendor standards and regulatory bodies Desired Registered Nurse (RN) Certification in Service Management Project Management or Business Analysis is preferred Please Note Only those individuals selected for an interview will be contacted No calls inquiries or Third Party Vendors please We are an equal opportunity employer (Unable to sponsor H1B Visas) Since 1988 The ACI Group a Baltimorebased IT staffing firm has been committed to hiring the industrys leading professionals and presenting exciting career opportunities We have access to varied types of contract permanent and contracttoperm positions and offer a choice of employment options including a full benefits package
