Job Summary Established over 20 years ago, our progressive and entrepreneur-spirited client is healthcare provider in Fort Washington, MD. Our client is currently seeking a highly experienced and energetic professional to embark on the full-time role of Director- ER.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the comprehensive management of the Emergency Department; Oversees all facets of the clinical and administrative operations; Will assure compliance with all regulatory, organizational, and departmental policies and procedures. Build intra-departmental relationships and foster collaboration. Set goals and develop implementation plans. Support and promote organizational initiatives.

Provides strategic direction: Monitor organizational-level indicators of performance, compare actual to plans and external changes. Assign staff to developmental projects with appropriate levels of responsibility and authority Provides coaching and on the job training (OJT) as necessary. Establish performance standards and criteria. Develop, maintain and communicate current competency statements.

Appraise all aspects of performanceJob Requirements Education Must have a current MD Nursing license (BSN preferred) Experience Must have a minimum of 4 years recent Emergency Department clinical experience; with 4 years of commensurate supervisory experience. Certifications BLS, ACLS certifications required; PALS certification preferred.
