Position Summary
The Supervisor of the first shift is responsible for implementing the production plan for cycle op! eration. Responsibilities include supervising pharmaceutical drug dispensing, ensuring the quality of the cycle production processes, and assisting with the training of technicians and supportive personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages team to ensure that the medications for our patient population are dispensed accurately and efficiently in a timely manner and in complete accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and Millennium policies.
- Develop a strong understanding of the automated dispensing equipment and become a subject matter expert on the operation and maintenance of this equipment.
- Responsible for supervising day-to-day cycle operations, including packaging and automated equipment/machine functioning.
- Participates in staff evaluation and performance activities including recruiting, monitoring, coaching, counseling, an educating to achieve continuous operational excellence.
- Partic! ipates in required department data collection, record reviews/! audits, evaluations and analysis.
- Coordinate with the management team to plan production staffing requirements on a daily, weekly and quarterly basis.
- Propose and provide creative solutions to product shortages, un-planned equipment downtime and temporary labor shortages
- Trains staff on how to operate automated equipment.
- Bachelors degree in related field is required.
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Experience in both production and pharmacy is required.
- Electronic document management experience, understanding of workflow; strong PC skills (MS Offices Suite) is required.
- Experience with quality assurance and workforce management is preferred.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills are required.
- Must be able to coach teammates to achieve continuous improvement.
- Am! bitious, energetic, and willing to learn and grow.
Responsible for managing 12-15 direct reports (Satellite Technicians, Refill Releasing Technicians, Canister Fill Technicians, & Cycle Production Technicians).
Decision-Making Responsibility
Decision-making responsibility includes decisions related to managing direct reports, as well as, day to day problem solving and prioritization associated with executing the daily production plan.

- Able to work longer than normal hours with little or no notice, as needed.
- Attend staff meetings, teleconferences and patient care conferences as needed.

P! osition Summary
The Supervisor works with Millennium’s Management, Pharmacists and other technicians in processing, producing, shipping, and trouble shooting prescription medication for residents of Millennium’s Long Term Care nursing facilities. The successful candidate is a highly reliable individual who is able to work independently, accurately and in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages Cycle production Technicians: ensure contract requirements with nursing homes are met according to production deadlines.
- Manages Satellite Technicians: ensure orders are pulled and labeled in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
- Manages Refill and Release Technicians: ensure prescriptions are refilled and released to get to the nursing home residents in a timely manner.
- Runs reports: release by date reports, releasing new orders reports, production reports, fly dock-daily C2s from fax server. !
- Solves problems related to: machinery, production, staffing, and missing medication- contact customer service to contact other pharmacies to obtain medication for client.
- College degree
- 3-5 years Management experience required
- 3-5 years of Pharmacy experience required
