Further informations about this vacancy opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. The unit manager has 24 hour accountability for the complete operations of the assigned unit. This includes directing the nursing staff regarding appropriate clinical practices to ensure quality care to residen! ts. A primary responsibility is mentoring and educating nurses, working and providing direction to physicians and other medical professionals, and serving as a resource to all staff within the unit regarding the quality of services provided . These professionals may also provide hands-on care to residents along with the unit nurses to ensure quality care.
They have full responsibility for screening, hiring, managing and evaluating all assigned unit staff. They develop and maintain the nursing operational budget. This may include purchasing supplies and equipment as needed. Ensuring state and federal regulatory compliance of the unit is also required, and this involves working with other members of the interdisciplinary team to maintain overall clinical performance of the community.
Finally, the Unit Manager assures compliance with EMA clinical standards, protocols and policies and is required to function as a member of the EMA community including participa! ting in and/or chairing committees and attendance at EMA meeti! ngs (which may or may not be on site).
