Our client is a 150 bed hospital which is part of an integrated, not-for-profit healthcare system serving residents of Central Coastal Maryland and surrounding areas.

They are currently seeking an experienced Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer for one of their hospitals with approximately 150 licensed beds. This position supervises executive, management and ancillary personnel.

Job Requirements :
The Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer works closely with the President of the hospital to execute the organization's Mission, Vision , Strategic Plan, Budgets and Operating Policies. This individual is also responsible for the overall planning, organizing, operating, coordinating and directing of the delivery of patient care services for the facility. The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Direct the design and development of clinical services which are responsive to community/customer needs
  • Create an environment which is customer focused, supports staff participation in! process improvement and empowers staff to make decisions to i! mprove the patient experience.
  • Develop organizational policy which governs the practice of nursing within the organization
  • Implement sound and effective fiscal operating procedures which ensure that business goals are met
  • Plan for service quality management and its integration into unit-based practice
To qualify for this position, you must be a registered nurse with a minimum of five (5) years managerial experience in an acute care facility. A master's degree (preferably in Nursing) along with graduate coursework in management is also required.
