Functions in a dependent role under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. The companion’s primary role is to supplement the nursin! g staff by providing observational skills to selected patients who are deemed to be at risk to self or others. They will only have responsibility to assist the patient with positioning, feeding and ambulation. Patients served include adult through adult geriatric.
What You Need to Be Successful:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to read and write required. Successful completion of Hospital Training Program required. Ability to work with others as a member of the health care team. Prior nursing experience desirable.
