Medical Assistant
Location: Hagerstown Maryland
Description: Meritus Health is in need of Medical Assistant right now, this position will be placed in Maryland. Under the direction of the attending physician and direct supervision of hte office manager/supervisor, provides secretarial duties, general nursing and phlebotomy functions for the Center to ensure cust! omer's needs are met in a professional and timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school graduate or the equivalent required. Certificate or AA Degree from a Medical Assistant program or equivalent preferred. Typing and medical terminology testing required.
Experience: Previous experience as a Medical Assistant working in a physician's office preferred.
Other: CPR certification; working knowledge of medical terminology required. Will have the following computer access: Meditech (OA, PCI), MISYS PM, MISYS EMR, WCH Intranet, Internet.
