The Trauma Disorders Program is a nationally recognized specialty program operated by Sheppard Pratt, a top-ten behavior! al health facility that provides treatment for all stages of psychological trauma recovery. An intensive multi-disciplinary team approach of individual, group and milieu therapies provides a structured supportive environment to facilitate the stabilization of trauma related symptomatology.
The Trauma Disorders Unit accommodates patients 18 and over. Provides acute treatment, stablization and monitoring for patients who symptoms put them at risk for self-harm or other destructive behaviors, or who require a secure setting for work on specific therapy material, or who need 24-hour monitoring and observation to clarify their diagnisis and institute appropriate treatment.
The Mental Health Worker under close supervision of the Staff Nurse, participates in the planning and evaluation of patient needs based on patient behaviors. Provides direct patient care services in accordance with the treatment plan and under the direction of a professional nurse. Assists in! providing a safe and therapeutic environment according to est! ablished policies and procedures.
HS Diploma or GED required. Past Mental Health Worker experience strongly preferred. Hourly rate is between $11-$15.05 depending on experience and education.
