CHR has an opening in our Rockville, MD office for a permanent full-time Occupational Health RN in Rockville, MD. This is a M-F 8:30am-5:00pm position which also requires on-call rotation. JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a NON-CLINICAL position. Under general supervision, the Occupational Health Nurse Case Manager is responsible for chart reviews and the delivery of case management and wellness services to the employees of CHR clients. Cases may include pre-employment physical assessment, surveillance programs, periodic examinations, fitness-for-duty determinat ions, return-to-work evaluations, and others as related to occupational health and wellness.

Knowledge areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Occupational Health
  • Case Management
  • Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration examination compliance
  • Hearing Conservation Program compliance
  • Respirator medical compliance
  • Drug and alcohol program
  • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
  • American with Disabilities Act (ADA)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or graduate of an accredited school
  • Fully unencumbered registered nursing license required in the state of Maryland, or a compact nursing license eligible for transfer to the state of Maryland
  • COHN-S, CAOHC, and/or case management certification a plus
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, with a strong focus on delivering excellence in customer service
  • Proficiency with computer software programs (including MS Office) and common office equipment is required
  • Must be able to multitask, be flexible, and maintain organization while being exceptionally attentive to detail

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of three years clinical experience in Occupational Health, ED, or Urgent Care
  • Current evidence-based clinical knowledge
