In clinical settings, the registered professional nurse cares for patients using the nursing process, independent judgment, and evidenced based practice to assess and treat responses to actual or potential health problems. Maintains clinical com petency and participates in continuing education related to health care issues and as outlined by appropriate regulatory and accrediting agencies. Adheres to ethical principles of practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and the ANA code of ethics for nurses. Demonstrates ongoing competency in practice through participation in professional organizations and committees. Coordinates care with other disciplines; delegates tasks to other nursing staff; supervises staff in their delivery of care and evaluation of results. Reports breaches in clinical or ethical standards to supervisor.
- BSN or willing to obtain within 5 years of hire
- Minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse
- Current Maryland RN license or eligible for
