UIC Technical Services (UICTS) is an Alaska Native holding company owned by Ukpea?vik Iupiat Corporation (UIC). UIC Technical Services is based in Alexandria, VA. UICTS and its Bowhea! d family of companies provide our government and private sector customers' expertise in areas such as program management, systems engineering/integration, logistics/supply support, software management/development, IT services support, aviation logistics/performance based logistics (PBL), configuration management, risk management and training/simulation support.
Bowhead is looking for a Licensed Healthcare Provider. The candidate will serve as a licensed healthcare provider, offering insight to JPEO-CBD program offices on medical/healthcare informatics and biosurveillance efforts. The candidate will review and provide input to requirements and acquisition documentation. The candidate will participate in meetings and activities, and maintain relationships with Tricare Management Activities (TMAs), Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), Veteran's Administration (VA), Office of the Surgeon General (OTSG), Center for Disease Control (CDC), Heal! th and Human Services (HHS), Biomedical Advanced Research and ! Development Authority (BARDA), and JSTO.
Required Skills
Expertise in nursing/medical informatics, DoD/Commercial HealthCare information systems standards and Industry best practices, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and policies is required. Experience or familiarity with existing Federal bio-surveillance/epidemiology activities (e.g., BioWatch, BioSense, National Biosurveillance Integration Center, ESSENCE, Armed Forces Health Surveillance Center, Laboratory Response Network, Public Health Information Network, etc.). Candidate should also have 10 years of general experience and 5 years of experience in a program office or similar organization.
Desired Skills:
DAU Level III Certification in SPRDE, or the civilian equivalent.
SECURITY CLEARANCE : Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the SECRET level. Required Experience
Successful completion of a full course o! f study in an accredited college or university leading up to a MD or DO.
Candidates must pass a Non-DOT pre-employment drug screening, and must follow all Non-DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Program Requirements.
All post-secondary education listed on a Candidate's application and resume must be verifiable, including but not limited to dates of attendance and degree/diploma awarded. Post-secondary education includes any courses taken through an accredited college or university in pursuit of a degree.
