MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Inc. is actively recruiting for a full-time Perinatal Nurse educator in a growing Women and Newborn's Division. The functions of the Perinatal Nurse Educator is to assist in designing, implementing and evaluating education programs. He/she acts as a leader, innovator and change agent in the pursuit of imporved nursing practice and quality of patient care, by providing the nursing staff either clinical support and educational growth. The position requires specialized experience and training in the areas of L&D, NICU, and Couplet Care.
- MSN required
- Experienc: Minimum of 5years recent work in Maternal/Child related field
- Experience in Labor & Delivery, NICU and Postpartum Care required
- Experience in curriculum development and principles of teaching are necessary
- Current Maryland RN License, CPR (Health Care Provider), NRP, STABLE are required
