We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our TEAM as PRN staff for Days!
The Registered Nurse perform a wide variety of job duties during shifts, caring for and educating pa tients about their medical and psychiatric conditions. Key elements of this position are establishing trust and building rapport.
CORE JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Completes appropriate documentation within the required timeframe per standards.
- Administers medications as indicated and monitors detoxification process.
- Transcribes Physician orders and implements all Medical Protocols as ordered.
- Assesses needs of patients to determine urgency of needs, and expedites treatment accordingly.
- Educates patients about medications, health issues and medical conditions.
- Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum two years' experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a Mental Health setting.
- Eligible to work as an RN through license in the state of practice, or license from a state with reciprocity ("Compact" state).
