Job Description

Job Summary:

RNCoord - Quality Improvement, organizes and coordinates performance improvement program activities and workflow.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services and systems/ performance measures.
  • Researches, develops/acquires and implements improvement systems, methodologies and tools to impro ve operations.
  • Collaborates with Leaders to develop and revise screening indicators.
  • Provides on-site training and follow-up for performance improvement teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Accurately retrieves data from patient records, direct observation, and other data collection methods for hospital and medical staff quality improvement activities according to accepted specifications and within expected time frames.
  • Screens cases using appropriate criteria and appropriately refers cases to another level of care. Writes accurate, well-organized summaries of case reviews (both individual and group reviews) and studies.
  • Monitors quality indicators, calculates statistics, analyzes data for trends of improvement and/or areas of concern, and participates in and/or facilitates associated performance improvement activities. Assists with providing statistical data and reports for committees and project teams.


Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's Level Degree
    Required: Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field at date of hire
  • Required: Five years clinical acute care nursing experience at date of hire.
